Whimsical and strong is what comes to mind thinking of all the roses I have grown over the years. My favorite by far is the old English with their fluffy and feathery look. They are not as poised and perfect as the hybrid tea they have a bit of wild and free spirit aura and possess an unfettered perfection. A few favorites that I have enjoyed over the years are 'Golden Celebration', 'Graham Thomas" (climber), 'The Alnwick Rose'. It is that time of year during the frigid last days of winter that I start thinking of what roses to add to the collection. I would love to hear about and see pictures of some of your favorites?
